Inglewood SS Students Dominate Australia Day Awards

The Australia Day Awards are a perfect opportunity to acknowledge people in our community who deserve special recognition for their extraordinary contributions and the 2019 Australia Day Awards in Texas proved a boon for Inglewood SS P-10 students.

Nominated in several sections, they snared all of the major Junior Awards.  Our students are leading the way in Sporting and Community arenas and as a school we couldn’t be more proud!

Congratulations on the following students for their nominations:

Junior Sports Award

• Lucas Clarke

• Imogen Johnstone

• Regan Johnstone

• Ryan McPherson

• Harry Wright (Winner) - Harry competes at a very high level in a plethora of sports in our district.  He made many district teams and gained selection for the Darling Downs Regional teams of Aquathlon and Swimming.  Congratulations Harry!

Young Citizen of the Year Award

• Molly West

• Ryan Vickers (Winner) – Ryan volunteers to assist with many local events and is always ready to lend a hand with School activities and functions. Truly civic-minded he is one of our wonderful School Captains and leads the way with his sense of community spirit.  Congratulations Ryan!

Naturally, even to be nominated is a high achievement and we congratulate all these students on their fine endeavours.  They are all fantastic role models for our other Inglewood SS P-10 students and we look forward to sharing many more of their notable achievements as the year progresses.
