Ipswich Jets visit Inglewood State School P-10
Do a job that you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life. That’s me and that’s what I’ve been lucky enough to have all my career, so said David Faalogo, Development Officer for the Ipswich Jets and former player of South Sydney Rabbitohs. David has also travelled the world playing for teams in England and New Zealand and he spoke glowingly to our high school students of working hard at your talent so that you could one day do a job you loved every day.
David, along with a group of NRL Development Officers, visited our school as part of the Millwood Junior Rugby League club (of which our school has members) for a game of touch footy and a chance to chat up close about what matters (like who were the toughest players he’d ever played against, had he met Billy Slater and Jonathon Thurston etc). David encouraged all the students that no matter if their talent was in the sporting, academic or cultural field, it was important to work at it and to continue to strive for greatness.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the only complaint was that the session wasn’t long enough! Inglewood State School P-10 would like to thank David Faalogo, the NRL and Millwood Junior Rugby League for providing this worthwhile opportunity for our students.
